Installing Replacement Head...
i was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice for installing a head on a 97 integra:dunno: or maybe a site that could be helpful??? im getting ready to do it this weekend since i have a couple extra days off! the only reason im replacing my head is because when my timing belt went, it bent some valves in the head thats currently on my teg
i have all the tools i think required for it! i got a torque wrench too because i know some of the bolts are torqued on! i was also wondering and it probably is a stupid question but when i install the replacement head, should i adjust the valves before i put the head on or after its installed:dunno: any and all help is greatly appriciated:thumbup:

are you sure you didnt do any piston damage? if it was me, while i was at it, id replace the head bolts, head gasket, and water pump. i dont know what to tell you about the valve adjustments but im pretty sure it is something that can be done either way.

I just wanted to make sure you saw my reply in this thread: https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...hreadid=116748
if you are confused about what goes where, use masking tape and make A,B,C etc labels.... put it on the wire or hose in your bay and match to your replacement head before you pull the old one. (put a label on your replacement head, too) then you just have to match A-A, B-B, C-C etc
