Default fried wiring

alright, not to long ago my 'teg caught on fire, taking the sending unit and fuel pump wiring along for the ride...well, i got the sending unit wiring, and i need to wire the fuel pump....my only problem is, i need to know which side the pump is on......my immediate guess is that it's on the driver's side.....however, all my gas tank hanging hardware is busted....and i fear taking it off....

i want to be absolutely sure that it's on the driver's side before i begin to dismantle.........

if there's another way to get the pump wired w/o dropping the tank completely off, it would help me more to get this teg running....

it's a 90 ls, if that helps...thanks guys

Eric

your fuel pumps rests on top of your gas tank. take out your rear seats and you should have access to it. there's no need to disassemble your gas tank to change your wiring and pump.

good luck

my sending unit is under the reat seats, not the pump....
the pump is somewhere underneath the car, on the gas tank, i need to know which side......or if it's right on top,but can't be reached from underneath w/o removing the gas tank....

super is right, under rear seat there should be a 3 screw cover over top of the pump assy. remove those and it should give you access to the pump and all
