Default probelm when shifting into 1st

Whats up people,

Sometimes I have a problem when shifting into 1st. For a split second it doesnt allow me to shift. Then I try again and its fine. If i really push it hard it goes in, but I dont think it should take that much force for it to shift into 1st. its 99 model. Its not always happening, but its at the point that its getting annoying now. All the other gears are fine.

HAs anybody had this issue with there Honda/Acura. Could it be my tranny fluid? or is it a mechanical problem. Let me know.
THanks.

Sean.

I think almost all GS-Rs have trouble getting into first while moving. From N at a stop it should slide right in though.

Could be your snycros goin though...

Hahha i know, i hated reverse on my GS-R. If your moving 0.00000000000000001 mph or have any momentum and try to get in there, wooo, grindin noisey hell.

Hmmm.... mine is a bit stiff when the tranny is dead cold in the morning, but it limbers up nicely within a few minutes of gentle driving.

Is this problem occuring at all times, or only at the beginning of your drive?

Synthetic tranny juice works better than dyno oil when it is cold, smoooooth, actually it is pretty much better all around, it is not that much more expensive and worth it IMHO

well,

I live in Toronto so its pretty damn cold in the mornings here. Its obvious in the mornings, but it still has the same problem when it warms up. I know it cant be my clutch because I replaced it 5 months ago. I havent been doing hard driving or anything like that.

Totally normal. 1st and reverse are tricky like that on every Integra Ive ever been in.
