Stock should be a 15 inch rim, with a 195/55/15 tire size.

Stability also depends on a whole slew of different factors, but in your case and the case of your friends car, the actual tire plays a big role. When you get bigger rims, you also get lower profile aka "series", to attempt to keep the overall diameter of the wheel and tire down as close to stock as well as fender clearance to prevent any rubbing. the middle number (the 55) of 195/55/15 is the percentage of width (the 195mm in this case) that the height of the sidewall of the tire is.

if you were to get 17's, tire size could either be 215 or 205/40/17. A 45 series could and most likely would cause u to rub. But then again the lower profile you go, the more harsh the ride can be. I can go on and on, but keep posting your questions so i can answer them the best i can one by one.

Sorry, but anything with a Tenzo badge on it is crap. Just say no.

As for 17s personally I think they look a little too big for the car unless it has a body kit and the tires you have to run to keep the stock tire diameter look too skinny. Plus they make your brakes look small. If you want something bigger than stock I would look at a 16" rim rather than 17", with a 215/40-16 tire.

Including the cost of tires you probably wouldn't be able to quite swing something from one of the top brands like SSR or Volk but you could get something pretty nice. Here are some choices I would look at. All are 16" and reasonably light weight.

O.Z. Superleggera - $239 @ tirerack.com

Enkei MM2 - $162 @ discounttiredirect.com

Konig Driver - $101 @ discounttiredirect.com

For tires I would go with Pirelli PZero Nero 215/40-16 for $93 a piece from tirerack.com.

Also if you do want 17's then it's not like a cardinal sin or something. The Enkei MM2 is $187 in 17" for example and still isn't *too* heavy. Some other choices in 17":

5Zigen MK-5 - $192 @ discounttiredirect.com

5Zigen MK-6 - $192 @ discounttiredirect.com

5Zigen Super Six - $200 @ discounttiredirect.com

Enkei Bortex RPM2 - $222 @ discounttiredirect.com

G Games 77 Wolf - $234 @ discounttiredirect.com

For tires I would get Kumho Ecsta MX in 205/40-17 for $93 a pop from tirerack.com.

I'm a fan of the Rota Grids. CashisEG8 sells them in the 4sale forum in 16" w/tires for under $900. Relatively light and strong. Volk TE-37 copies I believe.

Konig Rated-R's look like the Volks w/o the insane sticker price... but like said before, the OZ Supperleggera are simply... 2 drool over.

Or you can opt for the king of wheels, Racing Hart

Yeah RH EVOs aren't very light weight.

No I understand totaly. I'm definetly looking for a 15" rim now. That seems to be my best bet.

Those do look really nice. I like the gunmetal ones. Those are exactly what I'm looking for.
