Default what is the process?

im all about NA on an itr, but what is the process one would have to go through to turbo an R? and are there any successful/reliable ones? just conversation, any input would make for a good boredom killer.

You can turbo an itr just like any other integra, but you will need good tuning to run it reliably with the high compression.

High compression means more detonation, detonation = bad.

I personally think it is retarded to turbo an itr because the engine is very expensive and is built for na (aggressive cams and high comp).

I see that you are in dallas, i have personally seen a local itr blow its motor. Some jackass just raced it too much and it finally blew.

For a serious turbo car the best motor to start with is a b18c1, it is a great motor to build.

For a fun time i'd turbo an b18a/b. I used to have a turbo b18a and it was a blast.

If it is so retarded to turbo an ITR, why then are there several ITRs making well over 400whp that are still very streetable?

If done correctly, a turbo R can be a very impressive car. I agree that an LS/turbo would be good also, but there is nothing wrong with turboing an R, nor is there any reason not to. (i.e., high scompression)

I never said it wasnt possible just that i think it is stupid. You can also build streetable 400whp b18c1's and save a $1500 from the start.

But if you have the engine already....

Chris - who agrees that a c1 turbo is more cost effective, even a b18b is more effective.

I fail to see what this has to do with what we were just discussing. I have no idea why the switch to drag cars. We're talking turbos. So, since I apparently made a point that sat well with you, you make a remark totally off the wall, for what reason?? You are the first person in this thread to even talk about drag at all.

people can do what they want with their cars, whether or not you like it.

I dont see what you could do with a 400whp ff car besides drag race.

I guess i am a purist.

well, since you went totally OT on me....

i guess you don't know much about the subject.

Go look up a guy named zyg/zygspeed on honda-tech. Tell him his ITR is not track worthy with 420+ whp and 350+ wtq, probably more than that at this point.

A purist? LOL, I don't understand your use of the word here. A purist would probably take their R to the road courses and maybe autocross too. I think a purist can appreciate a well tuned, high power turbo R just as much as a Naturally aspirated R.
