clutch or tranny, which si going? help me out.
here's whats happening. When i go to work every morning or after I haven't drivwen my car for two or three hours I get in and the clutch feels like theres nothing there. it jsut goes down and up easily adn catches at bottom.??? when that was happeneing on my 944 the clutch cylinders went, are there clutch cylinders on the gsr set up? The only reason I bring the tranny in this is because this mornignand yesterday morning I had a hard time switching into gears from a stop. TYHis morning more than alst. But it was fine after I got to work which is a 14 mile highway drive. it was ahrd to shift as I got off the highway but as soon as I poulled in the parking lot it was easier. I'm stumped.

Stiff shifting is often from old tranny fluid. If the clutch is going it would probably slip. Put on handbrake, and in 1st gear let the clutch out part of the way. If the clutch is good, the car will start to stall
