Default which clutch, which tranny

If I was wanting to put an integra tranny on a b16, ( plenty of motor by the way) which clutch should I buy. For what motor I mean? I searched and found zippo! Also, did GSR motor ever have a cable type tranny?

Youd need the clutch from which ever year/car the tranny is from... I dunno about B series, but on D's, the 88 is different from the others due to its number of splines... And they must match the number that is on the tranny... So if use an 88 tranny, u gotta use an 88 clutch... Again, not sure if this applies to B series... But simply buying the clutch for the same car the tranny was from is a sure way to get the right one...

Sure, the 92-93 B17A only came with a close ratio cable trans. Good luck finding one of those.

Default tranny found

found a 93 GSR rebuilt tranny for 1200. Is that a little steep. I think so. I also found one with 140,000 miles on it for 300.

Yes only 88-91 Civics had cable tranny & 92-93 Integras which are usually harder to find. $1200 might not be too bad but intead of paying $1200 for that rare B17 Tranny why don't you invest in a B16A1 Tranny thats cable & get LSD. You'll have the proper Tranny for your year & motor & you can have LSD which means if you wanted to race or do a burn out both your tires would spin & have traction. It's your choice. You can also get the one for $300 w/ 140K but you won't know how long it will last.

Default got a quote for y1 rebuild

Well, I got a quote to rebuild the y1, with only new synch's, if gears are chipped, he said can't find them in states. He offered 1100 hundred with shipping included. I randomly emailed 7 tranny shops and asked if they could rebuild a jdm trans. Only one replied with the quote for 1100. The others said no way. So if ANYBODY knows of a shop that will rebuild, please post. Even you guys on the west coast. I live in a bumfuck ass redneck town and everybody here is a little to umm, well lets say.....Hybrid ignorant!

Dont ever move from a 2,000,000 count city, to a 20,000 count intersection!
Please post if any shops are known.
