I believe that all the plug wires are the same, but someone else may have more knowledge of this.

I had this same problem about a month ago. I switched out my spark plugs, and everything went back to normal.

Are you experiencing these problems? Are you sure the current wires are OEM? You could be experiencing EMI, or Electro Magnetic Interference. Some "aftermarket" brands aren't wrapped correctly or use low-quality insulation to ensure adequate protection from other electromagnetic fields in your vehicle. The wires can become corroded and allow the core to be exposed, which in turn allows part or all of the charge to escape. This would either cause your plug to fire a spark below combustion temp or not fire at all. Your engine can misfire or run rough, and you will get poor gas mileage, even worse performance, and increased emissions.

I'd replace your wires with a quality brand or OEM. If I'm correct, NGK is the OEM supplier of spark plugs for Honda engines, so they may serve the same role for wires as well.

i had autolites which i was a little skeptical about, so i switched over to some ngk's that i had and i still have the same problems. it's the most noticable when i'm accelerating at about 1/4 throttle, and sometimes it seems like it's not getting enough fuel, and i can hear the engine sputter because the exhaust sputters. if i give it more gas it's ok. i put new plugs in over the summer, and i have a new rotor, cap, and fuel filter. what are they sypmtoms of improper gap? that's the only thing left i can think of. thanks.
