My dad works for Acura. He drives a Legend, my mom and two different aunts drive CL's, My sister in-law drives and LS and I am on my second Integra (1st was a 94 GS) and my wife just bought a TSX. Acura's are in our blood and I will probably always drive them. I get wonderful personalized service at our dealer. The car's are very reliable and extremely fast. The last gen Prelude is a good looking car, but it is still sold at the Honda Dealer which are notorious for poor service and jacking up the price of their hotter cars $2-5000(although I would not turn down a S2000).

Not trying to be mean... but you probably get some of the extra nice treatment cause your dad works there. If he worked for Honda you'd probably have better experiance with them. Soooo your kinda biased.

Either way, Acura and Honda are the same company and yes Acura does provide slightly higher service and support than Honda, but they are still both awesome by themselves.

All dealerships are on their own. Honda in the city 30 min from me was talkin down the honda dealership here. They are all in competition.

What I ment to say was Acura service and sales are different than Honda's. They are all excellent cars that provide exceptional value. Case in point, many new college grads that I work with bought the new 4dr Accord for graduation or to celebrate their 1st real job. Nice cars, good power, well equipted. For about the same money as a loaded V-6 Accord they could have had the TSX with a six speed tranny and a more visceral driving expirence plus the personal service, 5/50,000 mile warranty and presitge of owning one of America's top luxury vehicles. So I feel the value is in Acura.

I cannot tell the difference between an Acura and a Honda, because they are one in the same.

I would have to agree that the Acura division of Honda does do a slightly (from my POV) better job than just the Honda division.

As does Lexus to Toyota. As does Infinity to Nissan. And so on.

I have noticed that many things in the older Integra are also carried on in the newer Preludes... and some of the things in the OLD old preludes, carried on into the older Integra's. etc etc.

You know, actually I had thought of that. But now that I have my Integra I love it to death. I dunno now that I think about it Preludes are sort of ugly. I like the sleak look of my Integra. So for a while I thought about it, but the answer is no.

I know nothing will satisfy either side but here's my 2cents:

I just bought a 2000 gsr and i love it, yes the thought of a lude crossed my mind, a close friend of mine has a heavily modified NA 92lude and he smokes almost everyone he races here in the 408, most people won't even race him. I've driven his car and yeah it handles great, not as light as my integ in my opinion, and is a blast to drive. A few reasons why i went with the integ though, is the 8200rpm redline, next to the s2000, nothing matchs the sound/feeling/pure delight of revving an integ.,

second, from my friend, as well as from others i talk to, when modified the lude's reliability goes down the drain

and as stated before, seating in the back is nice

I thgink it is really a personal prefernce. Both vehicles have their stong points and have things that the other does not.

Preludes take very well to modifications. I know plenty of people that have built up their Preludes quite a bit and still use them as daily drivers.

Almost any car can be modified and still be reliable. Just has to be done right, with the right parts and time.
