I telling you guys, the resonator won't make a big difference, i took mine off, didn't make a difference until the highway. It was a little more blunt and i would invest in a 2.5" piping only if i was going heavy mods.
What about a type R muffler or one from a prelude. Just asking will it fit with some welding?

I've heard Type R mufflers are buzzy on non-vtec integras. Remember that they have stock 2.5 inch piping. I can't think of any Hondas with stock 2.25 inch piping but I could get an adapter to fit 2.5 inch...

try and get a Thermal muffler without buying the full cat back. Thats what I'm gonna do. they are pretty quiet as far as aftermarket exhausts go.
Lemme ask you this, does the exhaust sound nicer after extended periods of driving? I ask this cause i had custom 2.5 piping on my 92 Si Lude with a Power1 muffler (aka cheapie) it sounded like ass when it was cold and i floored it. But after driving on the highway for a while it sounded really mean.

I have a HKS Carbon-ti muffler on my teg...sounnds like a turbo car when its still cold..but when it warms up..sounds deep and nice...so when your car warms up..it gives it a deeper sound, louder at times too

i have had an obx baby bomber by itself, w/ a resonator, and a magnaflow universal sideways muffler. the obx w/ the resonator sounded the best, with barely any buzz at all. the magnaflow buzzes pretty bad. all had 2" piping. they have all been on a crx but i have a b18a.

i have 2.5" exhaust from the cat-back. it helped torque or so the butt dyno says. anyhow 3.0 is too big 2.75 is too big 2.5 is still a little big but you can grow into it with cams or something of the like. 2.25 is supposed to be ther perfect size for bolt-ons
