GSR shifter???
Awhile back I was told that GSR shifters have a shorter throw than a normal Honda (i.e. my Civic). Now I've been told that all Integra shifters are the same. Are they the same and if so, does anyone know if they are shorter than a stock Civic shifter. I'm trying to keep as much of my Civic made of OEM Honda parts as I can. Thanks
PS I did a search

Don't worry, these guys aren't near as relentless as those guys over on the civic forum. As far as the shifter goes, I thought I noticed mine seeming shorter than it was in my civic, but I can't be sure, so I guess this was pointless. Any one else know for sure?
All I remember hearing (and so it's not set-in-stone fact) is that the GS-R's shifter is shorter than an LS's... (Or it could have been the type-R's is shorter than the LS/GS-R)... but yeah... I could conjure that maybe a GS-Rs or Type-R's shifter might be of shorter throw...
I've always noticed that GSR's had shorter throws than my LS, but I was told the reason for that is because the linkage geometry is different or something odd like that....beats me

ls would seem to have longer throw, gsr shorter, and type r is even shorter. that's because they have different gear ratios. shift stem itself is the same. get poly bushings for the shift linkage, and be done with it. most aftermarket short throw shifter do make the throw shorter, but have a very notchy feel to 'em and some do tend to grind the gears
i tend to stay away from short throw shifter. stock with poly bushings = best
