I shifted from 5 to 3 once goin about 80 in a 92 civic DX. I was probably lucky I didn't break anything....

 

Actually Gates has 3 or 5 or something. One of each color if I recall.

What happened is that the US government requires like 4 specimin cars to use in safety tests (READ: Crashing them into walls) and Porsche steadfastly refused to let their babies be used (READ: Wasted) in such a manner. Someone in Congress or something finally buckled I guess, and 959s are now street legal. Not like really was any question in the first place. It's a Porsche for crying out loud, not one of those junky Acuras!

(Don't slay me, I own a Teg, I'm just making a bad joke. Har-de-har.)

 

NonVTEC 3rd gear sucks because it's a lower ratio than the GSR/R 3rd. You want it better? Buy a VTEC transmission.

 

B18B owners just need a GSR tranny and theyll be smiling on every run.
