Default TEstpipe making my car sound like crap!

hello everyone i recently just installed my type r AEM cai, dc jdm 4-1 header and testpipe at the same time, is there any way of getting rid of that raspy bees in can sound, im all for performance but wow, should i replace that testpipe with a hi flow cat but isnt it gonna be the same sound???

you could try a resonator to help deepen the tone.

Yes a high flow cat will greatly reduce the buzzy noise. You aren't gaining much by going with a test pipe over a high flow cat anyways.

its raspy/rattly/buzzy because ur forcing a lot more air through what i asume is a stock exhaust. Free up the flow with an exhaust and it will elliminate that rattle and probably produce a good hp gain.

My roomate had a test pipe on his apex n1 exhaust which is one of the most free flowing exhausts on the market, and his was still buzzy with a test pipe. Put the high flow cat back on, and much deeper.

well i shouldn't have sed elliminate it completely. the high flow cat slows down the velocity of the exhaust so the vibrations are eliminted, but it is still a restriction.
