Check engine light on after testpipe install!!!

Default Check engine light on after testpipe install!!!

I just installed a testpipe on my 95 GS-R and a new O2 sensor. Now will a tetspipe always set off the engine light or is there something else wrong?? any ideas welcome thanks

It shouldn't give you a CEL on a 95... must be something with the new O2.

it will always set off the check engine light b/c you dont have a cat. it is just your exhaust going straight through w/out being "cleaned" in the cat. you will not pass emissions with this on (if you didn't already know)

OBD1 cars, like the 94-95 integras, have only 1 oxygen sensor, which is placed before the cat. The car doesn't sense what occurs after that in any way.

it has to be the o2 sensor because it wouldn't give you a cel for just a testpipe.
