Keep the CAT on or off?
Is taking your CAT converter off good or bad for performance, should i just keep it on or take it off, would it matter, and if its bad for your car, how bad is it to be off the car, i heard it waz kinda bad but i never been told the details of it. J/w.
Well if u havent done anything to your car all taking the cat off will do is make it sound like a over grown lawnmower and as far as power gains minimal MAYBE like .5hp at the wheel and plus its ILLEGAL to run catless i dont want u to think this is a flame or anything basically its not worth the trouble save ur money and get a good cat back system and a high flow cat so u can stay legal peace
Screw the car. It's totally messed up to remove the cat because of the emissions. Everyone would have to breathe the air you pollute, and that isn't fair.
If you want more performance, get a high-flow cat. A good high-flow cat will flow better than your MUFFLER. If you don't have the money for a high-flow cat (Like $100+labor for a custom one and $200 for a bolt-on), then don't mess with it.
Anyways, you'll only notice something swapping ths part out if your cat's getting clogged. Otherwise, the simple advice is DON'T REMOVE YOUR CAT.
Again, It's really bad for the environment.

Removing the cat is illegal. Get a hi-flo cat and you should be fine. The stock cat is a major bottleneck, and is the #1 most overlooked performance upgrade for folks who do bolt-ons.
As I stated before, a fellow Integra owner (95') dynoed his stock GSR and got a whopping 95 whp. Problem? A clogged cat.
This does not mean you should hollow out your stock cat, nor does it mean you should run a test pipe.
