Default Question for those who have GC's

I just got my set in today and was wondering if there should be a wrench or some tool so I can adjust the hieght when they are on my car. You don't use your hands do you?? Is it that easy to turn it when your car is sitting on it?

TIA

The kit came with an Allen Wrench on mine. Not sure about the size (3/4?).

You have to jack up the side of the car you want to adjust. The GC's use one locking perch. Use the allen wrench to loosen the perch, and rotate the perch up or down (it should say which direction raises or lowers). It make take a few tries to find the perfect height.

Note that as GC's become more used, the perches tend to get jammed, so you'll need to marinate them in something like WD-40 for a bit before adjusting. I found a few perches took quite a bit of force to loosen, but rotating the perch up and down is usually pretty smooth. You may want to wrap the sleeves in teflon tape to prevent dirt from clogging up the grooves.

One big disadvantage for us Integra owners is that we have to remove the rear wheels to adjust the rear. Of course, if you're a kung-fu master like me and also happen to have large wheels, you can thread your arm between the spokes of the wheel to adjust the rears without actually having to remove the wheel.

either that, or you can adjust the rear by lying on your back behind the bumper.... though it gets to be a pain. Just turn your steering wheel for the front two

Its A LOT easier to adjust when both front or both rear wheels are off the ground because your sway bars are still under load. Doing it with only one side is completely possible, but i'd much rather do it with the sway bars unloaded.

I have another question.... How do I know how low of a drop I am going to get before I install them? I would like to be able to (if possible) get it to the hieght I want before it is on so that I don't have to mess with it aftwards.

...supposedly if the coils are all the way to the top, then its stock height, you lower according from there. Although, for the rear (I have a sedan) I noticed that I had to drop it almost 2" to get it right. I just did a rough guess ~1". The springs will settle in and lower another ~.2 or .3" inches.

I just went and compared the stock shocks to the GC's on the hgihgest setting and it is around 2.5 inches lower than the front stock shocks and around 1/5 lower than rear stock shocks. I understand they are stiffer so they want compress as much as the stocks but now I really have no idea what to have them set on.
