Default Wiring 94 LX and I also need someone to recommend and intake that sounds good

I'm about to start wiring my 94 Accord LX for my audio equipment. I had all this stuff in my old Legend and now I'm in the process of transferring it. I had some experienced help last time out with threading the power wire from the battery, through the firewall and into the trunk as well as threading the subouts from the headunit to the same place, but I've never done it all by myself and I am concerned with this being a new and "strange" car to me. Does anyone have any tips for getting through the firewall and to the trunk on this particular vehicle?? I'll also be running a two switches for fog lights and driving lights to the cabin as well so I'm also interested in where the best place to put switches will be. If anyone has any input, PLEASE help me out.

By the way, I'm interested in getting a cold air intake so if anyone has one that doesnt make your four cylinder sound like a lawnmower, please recommend it to me.

Well, I have a 94 too and when I installed my system, I ran the power lead in through the fender and into the cabin where the wires for the window and speaker and locks get into the cabin, its in that black rubber looking loom that's in the door jamb. Once you get it in the cab its smooth sailing. As for the preouts, I ran mine down the center console all the way to the back seat, under the seat and into the trunk. If you don't want the headache of removing the seat, you can just go around it, the wires will still be hidden and you will have saved yourself a headache. Where to put the switches is up to you, its more of a convienence thing so you just have to get in there and sit down and see where you could put the switches so they will be easily accessible, or depending on what kind of switch you use, look the best.

hmm, the AEM and iceman are kinda pricey, I'll put the cash up if i have to, but I'm kinda on a budget right now. If anyone has any budget solutions, let me know. . .

The best spot to run your power lead is THROUGH the firewall (routing it around the fender is easy, but not the right way) To find the main wire harness through the wall, look for a big rubber boot. You can start at the battery, follow the hot lead to the main breaker/relay box, then follow that to the main harness boot in the firewall. It should be on the passenger side about half way down. Then what you do is take a coat hanger, straighten it, and use it to feed your power wire through the boot. Pull back the carpet under the glove box, and you may need to drop the glove box completely to get to it. Poke the boot from the interior though to the engine compartment, tie the power wire to the coat hanager, then pull it back through the boot. It may help to have another person help you feed the wire through so it doen't get caught on something. When you're all done, you can open the hood and not even tell you have a system! Then, just run the wire down the passenger side rail, step guard, around the back seat, then into the trunk. Just make sure you run your RCA's and speaker wire on the other side (drivers side) or else you'll get magnetic interference.

Ok, so im considering the K&N option, but im told an intake pipe with filter is better, so im looking around for one. One of my buddies recommended an Import Parts system shown here because he said it would work and doesnt cost a lot:

http://www.importparts.com/importpar...t/View/IP94ACC

but im concerned that this thing is cheap for a reason and might be garbage, any thoughts? particularly as to which option would be better

Yeah, I temporarily had one of those in my "SaucyCivic". It was great first thing in the morning, but in the afternoon when it was 100 degrees here, I think it actually hurt the performance.
