I had some experienced help last time out with threading the power wire from the battery, through the firewall and into the trunk as well as threading the subouts from the headunit to the same place, but I've never done it all by myself and I am concerned with this being a new and "strange" car to me. Does anyone have any tips for getting through the firewall and to the trunk on this particular vehicle?? I'll also be running a two switches for fog lights and driving lights to the cabin as well so I'm also interested in where the best place to put switches will be. If anyone has any input, PLEASE help me out.
By the way, I'm interested in getting a cold air intake so if anyone has one that doesnt make your four cylinder sound like a lawnmower, please recommend it to me.
Well, I have a 94 too and when I installed my system, I ran the power lead in through the fender and into the cabin where the wires for the window and speaker and locks get into the cabin, its in that black rubber looking loom that's in the door jamb. Once you get it in the cab its smooth sailing. As for the preouts, I ran mine down the center console all the way to the back seat, under the seat and into the trunk. If you don't want the headache of removing the seat, you can just go around it, the wires will still be hidden and you will have saved yourself a headache. Where to put the switches is up to you, its more of a convienence thing so you just have to get in there and sit down and see where you could put the switches so they will be easily accessible, or depending on what kind of switch you use, look the best.
