The best spot to run your power lead is THROUGH the firewall (routing it around the fender is easy, but not the right way) To find the main wire harness through the wall, look for a big rubber boot. You can start at the battery, follow the hot lead to the main breaker/relay box, then follow that to the main harness boot in the firewall. It should be on the passenger side about half way down. Then what you do is take a coat hanger, straighten it, and use it to feed your power wire through the boot. Pull back the carpet under the glove box, and you may need to drop the glove box completely to get to it. Poke the boot from the interior though to the engine compartment, tie the power wire to the coat hanager, then pull it back through the boot. It may help to have another person help you feed the wire through so it doen't get caught on something. When you're all done, you can open the hood and not even tell you have a system! Then, just run the wire down the passenger side rail, step guard, around the back seat, then into the trunk. Just make sure you run your RCA's and speaker wire on the other side (drivers side) or else you'll get magnetic interference.
