Default MOD opinions wanted

Hey guys, I have some money, or ateast will, and I'm not sure what I should do with it yet. My car is stock except for 1-pc headlights and a muffler. Here are my options. I could either get KYB AGX's and ground control coilovers, OR, get a cf hood + get my bumber and mirrors painted and emblems removed. The only reason for getting the hood is because my stock one is chipped up and it's a lot of $ to fix, + I like cf hoods. My car is white, and the front bumber has those spider web cracks in it, and my mirrors would look much better also white. Do you think its wrong to put a cf hood on a stock car? Both "projects" will need to be done sooner or later. Should I go to make it clean but at stock ride height or lower it and deal with the imperfections? Your opinions are important to me. thank you.

If you have the money it might be a good idea to go ahead and fix the hood and get your bumpers and emblems done, if those are really bothering you. If you can live with the imperfections though, I'd go for suspension stuff. Do you currently have a suspension set-up? If not, how many miles are on the suspension you have now. Alot of miles might justify a new suspension(I did my suspension at around 85K miles and couldn't be happier). Either way you'll have to save up to do one of the two projects. Good luck and let us know what you do.

I would fix the bumper and get the suspension. Start with the basics befroe you get to fancy with the CF hood. My suspension is eibach sportlines with tokico illumina struts. I love it. I have had very bad experiences with coilovers, but thats just my opinion. Don't go cheap with a suspension setup. Spend the extra money and get something nice. KYB AGX's and ground control coilovers should be a decent setup for your ride.

My suspension is just stock, I'm not sure how many miles are on the shocks. I never heard of anyone replacing their stock springs becuz they've gone bad, but when I looked in my rear wheelwell today the top 3 coils were practically touching each other. My car has 81k. Thanks man.

well, I'de say about 8 hundred, but I could have more. As for an AEM CAI, if anyone is wondering, I will be getting one of those regardless.

See, I know what you mean by the cf hood being fancy looking. The way I think of it, it's kinda like you have to back up your car in performance for the way it looks. That's why this is such a hard decision. But I want my hood fixed, and paint is too much. It's a predicament alright.

Good point. As the addage goes: You get what you pay for.

I have GC coilovers and Tokico Illumina's and they are much much better than my stock shocks were. My car handles better, body roll is significantly reduced and ride quality is very good. All for around $650.

I would get the shocks and coilover springs. You can de-uglify the car later.
