Default Freezing Car Doors

I realize most of you are in California and don't need to worry about this, but for the rest of you,
How do you keep car doors from freezing shut? My driverside back door likes to get frozen shut. My driver side door also gets frozen too but I can normally get that one open.
I don't really know whats freezing. I might go get some grease for the hindges and see if that helps at all.

You check if your door linings are worn out?

Just kick it when it's frozen shut, it cracks the ice.

usually I just give it a nice tap, sometimes pressing around the top of the window works well too since the door isn't as rigid up there
