Default having difficulty starting and rough idle

My '94 integra has been a royal pain lately. It hasn't wanted to start without me pushing the gas pedal down and trying with a lot of effort to start it up. Even then it pops and pings around and sounds like it's not running on all four or something. I have to keep the revs up for a bit or it will stall out. Then when the engine is warm enough to idle on it's own, it idles really rough. I pulled my plugs today and they were sooty but I cleaned them off and still no improvement. I replaced my ECT sensor a couple days ago but that didn't seem to help because I still have a CEL 6 and no change.

check your iacv and make sure the screen inside is clean, also check your pcv, pull it out and shake it to make sure it still rattles

I ordered a new pcv valve yesterday since I had never replaced mine and I don't think it's working properly. The plug wires aren't that old and I tested those fairly recently so I don't think those are the issue. I've cleaned my IACV before but I may end up pulling it off and cleaning it again. And as for my dist cap, I ordered one from Sunnyside Acura like 6 months ago and tried to put it on but it didn't quite fit. I know it was the right part no. and everything. Is there another distributor that will work for an integra? I think mine may have been swapped out.

swapped out? you can't really use an OBD2 dizzy on an OBD1 car, so I doubt it was swapped out. It's possible though, what didn't fit? the screws didnt line up?

Replace the rotor, under the distributor. Did you prep your car for winter? Antifreeze, etc. ?

The car has plenty of antifreeze right now. I'm replacing the radiator this weekend, whenever it gets shipped to me. The dist. cap that I tried to put on wasn't quite the same size as the one on the car. I've already replaced the rotor from when I tried to do the cap and rotor at the same time, but had to ship the cap back.

Today I replaced the PCV valve, cleaned out the throttle body, cleaned my IAC valve and checked for any loose wires. Now the car runs even worse. On startup, the car won't even hold an idle unless I turn on the A/C, which increases the idle to counteract the increased electrical load. After the car has warmed up, the idle is still really low and rough. I'm really at wit's end here. I plan on cleaning my FITV but this doesn't explain the rough running when the car is warm. It feels almost like it's running on 3 cylinders.

Oh yeah, I turned the idle adjust screw counterclockwise to try to raise the idle but it didn't seem to do much, if anything.

the idle adjustment screw doesnt do anything unless you reset your computer after doing it, to do that remove the 7.5 amp backup fuse that is in the fuse box under the hood for 25 sec then reinstall

i'll reset the ECU and see if it helps. i had already reset it after doing the maintenance stuff today (pcv, IACV, etc) but adjusted the idle screw as a last-ditch effort.

in many ways your problem was just like mines. after spending over $400 it
turned out to be the plugs, but my car still doesn't run as before, last hope is the IACV which i haven't touched yet, but i worry that it wont do shit, since you say you've cleaned yours already, only problem now is the rough idle. hope you find the problem soon man, good luck.
