swapped out? you can't really use an OBD2 dizzy on an OBD1 car, so I doubt it was swapped out. It's possible though, what didn't fit? the screws didnt line up?

Replace the rotor, under the distributor. Did you prep your car for winter? Antifreeze, etc. ?
