You searched and still came up empty handed? Jesus man, you suck at searching.

What are your power goals and budget? The Best motor would be (IMO) a B18C5 or a K20. But thats looking at $4k+. Most realistically, get a B18B and boost it for around $2000-2500. That will net you anywhere from 200-250hp depending on how much work you want to do and how much power you want, and how much you want to spend. For around the same price, you can get a B18C swap (170hp all motor).

I decided to go with the B18C because I scored a killer deal and got the motor and trans for only $1600, with zero miles on it.

Best motor a B18C5? Way overpriced for what you get. For that money, you could have a built B20VTEC making gobs of power, or a turbo B18B or B20B/Z.

For going all motor, a B18C is the most potent B Series motor. Its a nice option if you can afford it- I prefer NA over Boost, and maybe he does too.

gsr has a lot more potential than the type r.... N/A or turbo...

think about it... the type r is basically maxed out OEM... gsr however has a good base to build upon

I agree. I would rather have a B18C1 too, but he asked for the best motor to drop in. I took that as: What can I drop right in and have the most power? In OEM form, thats the B18C5. If he plans on building it, the GSR has as much potential (if not more), and also has cheaper parts.

That applies even when "stock for stock" is not included. Hands down a more potent, better engine than any other 4-cylinder Honda has produced to date IMO.
