Timing belt install next week
Well its time. Ill be doing the timing belt next week.
Ive searched this topic here for bout an hour and on team-integra too. i also have the hayes manual, print outs and pics so im good to go. ONLY THING is, i couldnt find how to adjust the valves and do i need to. its a 95 GSR with 91k in good running condition. any info is welcomed. thanks
BTW what is TDC, i see it mentioned a lot but what is it

when you take off the TB, Pay attention to your Tdc marks. Oh, the crankshaft pulley bolt. That took me a long time to take off and eventually had to call my buddy that works at a dealership to pull the sucker off for me. Although, there are a few others here who got the bolt off easy, Just warning you.

Trick to removing/loosening crankshaft/pulley bolt....but this is not safe.
If, when you look at the engine from the front (of the engine) it rotates clockwise (most engines do) you can install a socket on a long breaker bar, to the crank bolt, lean the bar against the ground, reach in the car and bump the ignition key once and only momentarily, this should pop the crank pulley bolt loose.
This ones kind of tough to explain, hope it made sense

^ i did that, the amount of torque the starter produces wasn't enough to get mine off but the starter trick will do it.
it took oem pulley holder, large pipe extension -- shop handle to get it off. It was insane, but that's my experience. I've heard stories of just a 8inch breaker bar working.

dang i did my timing belt water pump and tensioner last week.. i just took my impact gun to it, it came write off.. rugsr you can pick up and pulley holder at a local checker or autozone tthey usally rent stuff like that out for cheap.. you might want to get a harmonic balancer puller to because they are rough to get off, and try not to lose the woodruff key thats in their.. good luck man
