Default high miles on shell

I am looking at a civic with a b16 swap in it. It has new axles and basicly the whole swap is pretty new. But it has close to 200k on the shell. Just wondering if that is alright to go get? or any problems I may run into.

Any car will have stuff it needs. On my car I sailed right past 200,000. Right past 300,000 and past 400,000 and there was never anything major. It's been the best car I've ever had. It now has 430,000 and I changed the motor recently. I would say go for it just look it over good. I would buy mine agian with 200,000 without thinking about it.

just check all bushings, brakes, and wheel bearings thoroughly. also look at the rack and pinon to see if there are any broken dust boots.

Hondas will go forever. What kills them are accidents and rust

He's right, but even if it needs this stuff, I don't consider it major, just stuff to consider. I changed my steering rack for $50 and got the whole thing from tie rod to tie rod. Spend some time with the car and roll up and down every window, flip every switch, turn on and off everything, slide the seats, open the doors, lift the driver door to check the hinges, look for leaking struts, jack up the front end and check the ball joints and stuff, jack up the back end and listen to the bearings (some brake drag will be normal). Then BUY IT!
