He's right, but even if it needs this stuff, I don't consider it major, just stuff to consider. I changed my steering rack for $50 and got the whole thing from tie rod to tie rod. Spend some time with the car and roll up and down every window, flip every switch, turn on and off everything, slide the seats, open the doors, lift the driver door to check the hinges, look for leaking struts, jack up the front end and check the ball joints and stuff, jack up the back end and listen to the bearings (some brake drag will be normal). Then BUY IT!
