Good setup...I'd personally go OEM bearings though. Also, I don't see the need for valves unless you plan on going high boost at some point.

Sounds good, but if I ever had the chance to rebuild I think I would go w/Type R guts.

Hmmm, alright I don't mind spending a little more to get the piece of mind oem gives. I was under the impression that new valves could raise my compression a bit and also getting new stronger/lighter valves would be better than my 8 year old gsr valves. Perhaps I need to look into new rods as well?

I had the itr/ctr intake cam in for a while but then took it out due to the massive amounts of oil my car was eating. I figured if I am going to upgrade/rebuild it now might as well go with better than oem pieces, minus the pistons.

Your OEM rods are fine with the ARP rod bolts. OEM valves will be fine too. Flat faced valves will raise compression very slightly, but the difference is negligible. You don't need stronger valves, but lighter valves will move a little faster.

I heard del sol domed pistons can bump the compression nearly 1 point.

It would be like running any other USDM B16 piston...and yield nearly the exact same compression as the JDM ITR pistons...11.37:1 versus 11.36:1. Running a JDM B16 piston (p30) will bump to 11.59:1.
