New brake pads and machining of rotors
I took my car to Midas, trusting their touch, and they said I need new pads and machining of my rotors. Rear ceramics, instal and machining would be $190. Front will be metallic for 160 or upgrade to ceramics for 190. I thought of the Axxis Ultimates and asked if they installed my own pads how much and they said $70 dollars per axle for everything.
1. Is this a good deal?
2. I've heard Axxis Ultimates are great pads and they're cheaper than the stuff Midas will replace them with. LT recommended Cobalt GT-Sport pads. They're a little bit more than the Axxis but cheaper than the Midas stuff. Which pads? Its mainly for street for the next few months.
3. Is $85 for the front and $69 for the rear a good price on the GT-Sport?

Just buy some brembo rotors and some axxis pads off ebay...theyre like $100 for the fronts. I wouldnt mind the rear pads unless theyre really bad (i.e. thinner than the backing plate). Just do the fronts if you have too because i think the braking ratio on integras is something like 80/20(f/r) Even if you took off the back brakes you would barely notice when you brake. Install is easy and i bought the same setup off ebay and its really worth it. AND MAKE SURE YOU PUT ON THE ANTI-RATTLE CLIPS AND SHIMS!! /my .02
I bought my set of Brembo rotors off ebay for $120 for all four and my Axxis Ultimate pads for $87 for the full set. If you have a jack and a set of hand tools, try doing it yourself. It isn't hard at all.
Ok. I'm looking at Rotors but I really know nothing about brakes. Are all the Brembo rotors the same? Whats the difference between drilled and slotted and what not?
Also do I want PBR Ultimates or Axxis?

with regards to drilled vs slotted vs drilled/slotted, do a search, cause so many people have differring opinions about this than you'll want to decide for yourself whether you want one of those or just blanks...
yeah, try to stay away from Midas...they really rip you off. When I was replacing all 4 rotors and pads all around, I called them up to ask how much it would be to install them, and they said 360 parts and labor, so i asked how much it would be if i supplied my own parts, and they just said they wouldnt do that...so I just put all the stuff in myself, and saved a lot of money...
PBR = Axxis...so the PBR/Axxis Ultimates are really good pads for the money. I've heard a lot about the EBC Greenstuff pads...my brother has those and brembo slotted front rotors (and SS brake lines) on his '95 Maxima, and that thing almost stops as quickly as my car...and his weighs at least 300lbs more and is much longer... I have the PBR/Axxis Ultimates on my car (with Brembo front rotors) and I really like em...pedal feel is spot on and initial bite is a bit stiffer than stock, but when you have to lay into the pedal that car stops on a dime.

What are the 'right' tools? I only have a bunch of standard hand tools, nothing special at all. At this point I think I will probobly do it myself with Ultimates and Brembo rotors, given that I can find a good deal on ebay for the Brembos..

just do the work your self like everyone said. its really simple and once you do one, you can do the rest easily. there is a special tool that is used to turn the piston on the rear calipers in, usually sold at all parts stores for like $5.
also, about the rotors from EBAY, stay away from the brembo rotors that are advertised as being cross drilled and slotted. those companies usually buy the brembo blanks(plain rotors) and they machine them in their own shop. not a good thing.
