I've been out of work at a college,and been collecting since May 19th. All the summer camps that dining service works were cancelled because of the crisis. Thank goodness for the union so there are no lay offs and I am far enough up on the seniority list i should be fine. I haven't caught it yet. My gf is still employed because she is in HR for another college and working from home. Not sure what is going to happen in the fall. I have a couple friends who caught it, but all are fine. Parents are old, both 70s+, but they are good to so far. I've been perfecting the gluten free chocolate chip cookie during the break and designing a board game.

 

Still healthy, had a few scares. Suffering through it and ready to move on with life.

 

Physically, fine; psychologically, f*cked.
We're just not built to live like this... in a world where there is no such thing a smile. Or where affection becomes weaponized.

Parents are entirely dependent on me; they're both pushing 80, and I'm their CV-19 firewall. Rickett-Benzinger, the makers of Lysol... yeah, they're gonna have an excellent year!

Work: Left the media the last time the world fell apart. Very grateful to be out. All clients have me in a holding pattern, largely because the County Planning Dept. has shut down. Ergo, no construction. This is gonna be an expensive year.

I'm an Anesthesiologist that was definitely "in the shit" of things in downtown New Orleans, which until NYC got crazy we were the nation's epicenter. I saw healthy 17 year olds die. I saw a guy that had recovered stand up to put his blue jeans on for the first time in 2 weeks, and subsequently throw a massive pulmonary embolism and die on the spot. I've worked at the major NOLA hospitals and sat in on talks about what we would do the following week when we were scheduled to run out of ICU rooms and ventilators.

Things are better now but still very bad. One video clip of the top floor of Tulane or Ochsner medical center right now would clear up all the hoax bullshit you see on facebook.

 

Healthy so far. I have not had Covid and I get the vaccine in 2 days (on the 22nd). Hopefully I get super powers or something

The good news is that as they say It'll likely be over by May, maybe June. Omicron may be the most infectious form this virus is able to take (theoretically). it's already the most infectious virus known it appears. And in that case, it will continue to dominate future mutations as they occur while, perhaps becoming even less capable of causing damage to the host.
