Mazda3 or RSX, which is better?
The mazda 3 is way over priced, with all options its as much as an rsx. Now compare the brands, which is more reliable, which has better looks, etc. I think the Mazda is fugly, and for 20+ g's its not worth it.

They are in different classes of vehicles. One a coupe, the other a 4-door sedan. One has "sports-coupe" dynamics the other "sports-sedan" dynamics. The Mazda 3 is by no means ugly. But taste varies from person to person so thats not the issue. Mazda has HID's,more room, and yes Mazda does have reliability. Althought its a Ford basically at the same time remember its also a Volvo.
$20K for the fully-loaded 3 is only very very slightly overpriced IMO.

You do make a good point, they are two totaly different cars. When i was at the toyota/mazda dealer (before i bought the rsx-s i was looking at all my options) the mazda 3 was up there in price i want to say 22 or 23 for the fully loaded everything possible model, to me thats pricy for that car. But like you said considering the 2 to 4 doors, etc. it would realy depend on what you were looking for in a car.
are you speaking about the base rsx or type s as well?
they are different imo and are different cars in terms of what market they are trying to hit
the mazda3 looks decent, but doesnt have the power or the luxury of the rsx
the interior plastic is very cheapish looking and the whole car seemed to be made with cost in mind (thats why its so cheap)
i personally ended up with a rsx-s while my best friend went with the mazda3 4 door. but then we have different needs and ideas on what we wanted

I'd personally go with the RSX. Much more potential, plus it looks oh so sexy. That's probably the reason why I chose the Type S over the SRT-4, it might lack the power that the 4 has, but the interior doesn't look like it's been made by Rubbermaid, and plus neons are just fugly anyways. Plus, Acura has excellent resale/reliability, and their parts are great.
