Default Indivual THrottle Bodies....

Ive heard of them but dont understand how they really work. Advantages/disadvantages. i understand that they make more HP then a standard intake manifold. can u use these on a daily driven car? turbo cars?

Advantages: Better air flow, better air velocity, much better throttle response.

Disadvantages: Makes your wallet cry, makes your tuner cry, makes your ECU cry.

How it works: Each cylinder has its own throttle body. That's 'bout it. Works on turbo cars as well, but won't give you quite as much results as on NA. Daily driven... if you get it installed well (vacuum accumulator, good filter system), tuned well, and have a fully standalone ECU replacement, then yes.

They do look badass but unless you have a fully built engine, there is no point.

Honestly on a turbo car you can find better places to spend your money. That 2 grand for ITBs could go into a better turbo, new topend, tubular manifold, electronics, etc. ALl of which would make more power than the ITBs themselves. Get ITBs when there's absolutely no more power to be squeezed out of the rest of the engine.

If you are going to turbo it, there isn't much of a reason to waste your money on it. They do better when on N/A engines anyway.

I really believe in what he said there.

At the top of this page, is a motor with them, that we tuned.
