Advantages: Better air flow, better air velocity, much better throttle response.
Disadvantages: Makes your wallet cry, makes your tuner cry, makes your ECU cry.
How it works: Each cylinder has its own throttle body. That's 'bout it. Works on turbo cars as well, but won't give you quite as much results as on NA. Daily driven... if you get it installed well (vacuum accumulator, good filter system), tuned well, and have a fully standalone ECU replacement, then yes.
