DISTURBING, yet flattering, STUDY
FROM MSN.COM:
The CCC reports the ten most-stolen vehicles for 2003 are as follows:
1. 1995 Saturn SL
2. 1998 Acura Integra
3. 1994 Saturn SL
4. 1999 Acura Integra
5. 1995 Acura Integra
6. 1997 Acura Integra
7. 1996 Acura Integra
8. 1994 Acura Integra
9. 2002 Mitsubishi Montero
10. 2000 Honda Civic
The study is based on total loss claims received from more than 350 property and casualty insurers in North America and compares the number of vehicles stolen and not recovered against vehicle registration volume information provided by R.L. Polk & Co., to determine the rate of theft.

Sad to say, this is nothing new. I'd bet that the number of RSX-S thefts starts to climb as the demand for K-series hybrids grows.
h:
Lock em up, alarm them, use guard dogs....do whatever it takes to keep thieves out.

It means the cars have great resale values. I think all cars are pretty easily stolen, it is mostly about their location. Most integra drivers are younger and therefore don't have a garage, park downtown for a party, park on the street for school, etc.
I just got my first stocker last night. At 3:00 am I saw an Integra turn off a side road in my direction. They followed me onto my street and stopped in front of a neighbors house as I pulled towards my driveway. I then backed away from my driveway and drove further up my street and they turned around, the wrong way up my one way street. There was no reason to be on my street except to see where I parked.
Forced me to hide my car behind my other 2 cars in the driveway. Now I have to worry that they'll be back looking for an oportunity. Since I didn't actually pull into my driveway and they know I saw them and was suspicious, hopefully they'll stay clear.
*Edit* And if they do come back the dog will have something to say too.

I have the factory alarm system and a "Twin Hooks" club, I still have my 2000 Integra . btw, im in college and my car always gets parked on the street in front of my apartment. So, it doesnt hurt to have both.
ya the 98 integra was #1 for several years i believe. i guess it got dethroned by the latest "hot' car to steal, the saturn sl
. damn thieves are getting desperate or maybe its some new kids on the block mistaking the saturn for an integra. they go back and the boss will be like, wtf
