You will probably be fine, just means next time you have to treat your car to a mobile1 filter

Depends on the filter. If it's FRAM or some crap, change it now.

I would say youre fine for 6k on the same filter.

3k is really, really, really a conservative estimate.

let the car sit and let the oil drain back into the oilpan. remove just the oil filter and put in a new filter. you may lose some oil not much at all.

just replace the filter

A FRAM filter shouldn't be on the car in the first place IMO. :a:

I really would change the filter, seriously. All filter are designed with a pressure valve that open when the filter media is loaded up with crap. When that valve opens, the engine oil will bypass the filter media entirely. :eek3: Granted, it's necessary to ensure consistent lubrication, but it also means you have removed any protection afforded by the filter. And buying a new filter later won't undo that damage to your engine. Unless you are truly dead flat-broke (as in buy a filter or buy food), buy a quality filter like a Mobil-1 or Hastings™ brand filter and change the filter in conjunction with the oil.

Your car deserves it. h:

I use Honda #15400-PCX-004. Another good alternative filter.
