Default problem w/ my teg

alright so was driving home from work yesterday when all of a sudden my car just locks up in the mddle of the street and stalls out. so i turned it back on to go and when i put it in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th the car wont go just revs like it wants to but goes no where, but when i put it in neutral i press on the gas and let the clutch a little and my car drives fine like it would in 1st. i have no clue what is wrong. the clutch is 1 month old, fluids are all fine. anyone know what it could be or have an idea of what it is? please help i miss my teg already

I'm guessing there's a problem with your clutch.

Just hearing that made me think of the timing belt going bad. Probably not the case but yeah, sounds like something screw is going on with your clutch.

recheck your clutch fluid, it might be low. if that doesnt work, bleed it, and change it again.

Timing belt is the longest of long shots IMHO.

My bet is that air is still trapped in the clutch lines and that it needs to be re-bled. I'd try that first.

Just out of curiosity:
*Did the clutch pedal feel more stiff?
*Did it require more effort &/or pedal travel to disengage the clutch fully?

i would assume that if the car drives in neutral, and doesn't drive in gear, the tranny is totally fawked. Odds are you need a new one (or a rebuild).

yeah it seems as though your gearbox is shifted improperly. Try and look at or get it looked at, and if you need another, I may have one for you, but it wont be till middle of summer.

1st thing i'd do is get under the car and check the shift linkage. who installed the clutch for you? i'm betting it's related.
