Default Major Service Coming...Advice Needed

My 97 teg LS is approaching 7 yrs/80K miles...so I am planning for a major service. Here's my list so far:

1. Timing belt
2. Water pump (might as well since it's torn down)
3. Belts
4. Hoses (not sure about this one)
5. Brake Fluid Change
6. All that other stuff recommended @ 80K: oil, oil filter......

1-3 are definites. 4 is a maybe. 5 is puzzling. Should I really change the brake fluid? I've had mixed technical advice.

I can do 3, 4, & 6 myself...am considering whether to to 1, 2, 4 myself. I have the technical ability, most of the tools (except any special tools), but time is an issue.

All advice is welcome. Thx.

i actually just did all of this today.

4. if they have never been changed before, DO IT!!! alot better than wating on the side of the road for a tow truck.
5. do it to!!! brake fluid is hydroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture(water). generally water and metal do not mix. after a while alot of the parts in the braking system can rust, causing a brake system failure. plus, when the fluid absorbs moisture, its performance is greatly diminished.
