Default Stroker B16A2

Hey guys,

I'm picking up a JDM B16A2 block, I've also got an old B18A block hanging around. Any way I can use my LS crank and rods in the B16A2 block? And build an LSVTEC that way?

Nope. Deck heights are different.

Just put the b16 head on the b18 block.

Thanks for the response QT

I actually havn't picked up the B16A yet, think it would be worth it? Are the bottom end parts off the B16A with putting on the B18?

I think you could technically de-stroke the B18A with the B16A crank and rods, but there wouldn't really be much point to that.

If you're planning on an LSVTEC it would make more sense to just buy a B16A head and some kind of VTEC transmission, rather than a complete swap. Then you could beef up the B18A block that you already have and use that with the B16A head.

Thanks Fatbooty,

But are there enough parts coming off the B16A block that can be used to beef up the B18A to warrant me getting the b16a?
ie: Block guard, girdle
would they even fit?
