Default A/F Ratio Question

Hey... I am almost done putting together an LS/VTEC with 11.5:1 compression, JE pistons, Eagle Rods, Skunk2 chipped p28 (cuz I'm OBD-1) and 330 cc injectors... What would I have to do to tune it right? would an Air/Fuel ratio meter tell me what I need to do? And if so, once I know what I need to do... How would I fix it?

Also my friend has a A/F meter that is just a little gauge that measures the A/F ratio every second or something like that... It doesn't look very precise... It's on a Celica if that makes a difference maybe Celica's Diagnostics only looks at the a/f ratio every 1 second or something.

ANY INFORMATION ON THE TOPIC of A/F Ratio is appreciated cuz I don't have a clue!!!

Thanks,

Harry

you need to take it to a dyno and tune it w/ a wideband O2 sensor. if you don't have anything like an AFC or Hondata there isn't anyway you can really tune your car.

yes, good idea. chipped ECU's are known for running very rich, also you'll need the VAFC to turn down the fuel with those larger injectors.

EDIT ON TOPIC: An A/F Ratio guage should tell you how rich or lean youre running, so yes it will help you tune.
