Default CD Changer doesn't play full magazine

I have a 6 disk Alpine cd changer in my 98 Accord and the other day the magazine got stuck. So I went ahead and maually ejected it from the changer. Now my changer skips the cd's in slots 2 and 3 but plays slots 1, 4, 5, and 6 fine. Does anyone know what could be causing this? Why would it not recognize a disk being in those slots? Any info helpful. CD Changer model # is CHM-S620.

Happened to me too with the same Apline changer. But I was lucky since I bought an extended warranty at the store - turned out there was some tiny capacitor burnout or whatever. First it stopped playing some slots and then stopped reading CDs altogether. So I had to take it back to Circuit City and wait a couple of weeks until they fixed it. If it weren't for ext.warranty the damage would be about $90.

is ur headunit able to play mp3 discs, cuz if it can just put all the songs on one disc and play away. Of course its a bitch to find certain songs but it saves alot of cds.
