timing help !
loosen the 3 distrib. bolts (12mm) - have 1 almost tight so you can tighten it real quickly.
Put a paperclip into the 2 prong clip by the ECU (like you're going to check a code). Connect the timing gun and then start the car. Point the gun down the timing belt cover and lineup the timing mark on the cam cover with the red mark on the crank pulley (it's the one in the middle of the 3 marks).
Turn the distributor one way or the other unitl that mark is lined up correctly. When it is, tighten up that one bolt you left kinda tight. Now you can put everything down and tighten the others up when your hands aren't full.

Sorry I might not have made myself clear ! There is no belt on there now ! and I wanna give the motor to the person allready timed up ! The distro has never moved it's still there . And I don't have a gun . Someone told me all I have to do is line up the marks and thats it ! Maybe he was wrong ?

Metalman: I'm 90% sure it's red. The white mark is the TDC mark, not the timing mark.
Well, to put it on correctly you have to line it up, but that does not set the timing. The timing is based on the rotation degree from the center axis of the distributor. You will need a timing gun to accomplish this.
