Default Q: Getting rid of speed limiters on JDMs

Hi,
My 1992 1500cc Del Sol VXi keeps cutting out when it reaches the 112mph mark. The machine feells very strong and capable of much more before this happens.

Can someone suggest how to sort this? Some types of delimetrs are thought to interfere with the ECU and consequently other calcualtions made by the ECU based on the "modified" readingfs sent in by the delimeter (I.e when the VTEC cuts in is pushed up to 60mph, etc).

I would really apreciate any iformation you guys n grls can come up with. The engine is a D15B model, apparently producing 130PS/HP. There is some kind of an ECU on top of the throttle body and it sez "PS-30" and I think "Denso".

Thanks

Hey no problem. hahaha...well I believe they run about 300-350 depending on where you get them. I got mine for free though I used to have a site where they sold them...I'll do my best to hunt it down when I get back home.

I've seen a lot of them going for about 300 lately. I know there is also a wire you can just cut that goes from the ecu to the fuel pump. All it does is sends an electrical signal that shuts off the pump. Problem is, I don't know what wire it is...

BakeOff,
I will check up on this fuel; cut off thing man. The stoopid car just stopped working at 112 - MID F******g bend!

smell it? I WAS SITTING IN IT!!

I really need to get rid of this limiter. HKS sells something called a speed defencer, might go for that.

Regards
