I know you guys might not have much control over this, but people do still come here for technical information, believe it or not. Since pretty much every technical topic has been covered at one point or another, the search function is essential for these people. It would be nice if the technical forums remained relevant, and it's probably important for the long term survival of HAN.

Without a functioning search, there is no way for noobs to answer questions on their own, and OG's aren't willing to hold their hands.

srsly, I just tried searching "hhr" in the basement with author "JessTD" because I wanted to find the thread where I asked him if he ever picked it up. No matches.

 

The search has been fixed for a while. We reverted back to vB Search. If you are experiencing errors, let me know.

it seems the search is inclusive
for instance "chanc civic" will give me everythread with "civic" in it

 

i searched "job" in the basement with no results.

I have reindexed the search. Words that are 3 characters in length are not indexed, therefore won't yield any search results.

 

i can't find the latest ncaa basketball thread by searching 'ncaa'.

'ncaa basketball' doesn't do it either, but it brings up the weekend plans thread, which contains the word basketball. once.

 

Are you referring to the Fantasy Bracket thread?
