by law of averages, the honda will be more reliable and cost you less to own, no matter what. what about an accord 6-speed or something along those lines? comfortable, safe, fast, runs on REGULAR instead of premium...

Because the Accord is a slug on an autox course. The early 90's Civic is the darling of the STS class, but takes a lot of money and time to prep (though probably still cheaper than a Fit) and looks too 'boy racer' once prepped. The only Handa that does well around the cones is the S2000, and since it got bumped up a class last year, its not the powerhouse it was.

The Fit is a great autox starting point. Its light, already has great handling, and beats a Z06 through the salom. Even without engine mods, it should be a strong H-stock or G-stock entry.

No kidding? That's just an amazing car (not to take anything away from the drivers ability). The question then becomes, is the Fit an early 90's Civic Si reincarnated?

there should be some good mods but forced induction would be the best.

have you considered a MINI Cooper S?
it'll have the power that you want out of the box
the 07 will have turbo instead of super charger

The MINI is a great car, for $10 grand more and with less interior space.

the fit is just a remake of the 91 civic 4 door wagon. my co-worker has one, and we parked the fit right next to it, lol. 'cept the old one has 4 wheel double wishbone and can accept a b16.
