I bought a used 02 civic sir as a commuter, used car dealer said it needed new syncros, problem is...

When i push clutch slightly move shifter into any gear it makes a funny noise whining/gear noise, also if in neutral position it will make same sound if i push clutch to floor, if i let off a bit it goes away,

so it goes into gear fine, let the clutch out car moves like normal, but when i go to shift to any other gear its like clutch isnt working, like shifting without clutch, very stiff, gearing down is the same, lots of pressure in clutch feel, if i drive slowly put clutch in and rev car it makes a scraping sound and clutch acts funny,

question is, do i need new trans or new clutching system?
