If tryed setting my fuel pressure regulator ect and it doesnt seem to make much of a change. Also when i adjust the distrubutor to change the timing, it makes just a marginal difference! What fuel control are you using and do you have aftermarket injectors?

Well, ive got it running BUT with the MAP sensor disconnected...this way, it idles at a mere 2500 whereas when it is plugged in (vacume line of sensor) it idles at nearly 4000!! Also, how am i supposed to know how far to retard the timing??

do you have that rubber thing under the map sensor? i also know some kits give you this thing put under you map sensor and it causes the kit to sit much higher.

if you look on the stick of motor pics in the forum look at nutsacks motor picture, and you'll see what i'm talking about for the map sensor.

when we pulled my friends map sensor off, we accidently left the rubber piece off, and it burnt half a tank full of gas in one day.

also we had played with the tps sensor (overbord tb), and it wasn't set back to spec. I dunno how much the map sensor effects the idle...
