98 ls put in 95 civic ex ?

Default 98 ls put in 95 civic ex ?

does anyone know if I have to rewire any thing or does it just plug and play, do I need to have the 98 ls wiring harness any info
would help tried a search could not fine anything on this

98 motor is OBDII, 95 chassis is OBDI. you need a new firewall wiring harness and ECU, or an OBDI engine harness.


...or, a LOT of patience with wiring.

engine itself 98 along with wiring harness but the ecu is 94 I dont know if this made it worse or better, from what I have asked shops they say supposedly everything should bolt right in
still makes me wonder? more input would still help please

use an OBD1 civic harness, should work well. and get the ecu chipped to run 1.8 liter fuel maps or get an OBD1 P75.

I put the LS in along with 97 wiring harness 95 ecu so far everything checked out fine but the vacum hose for the map sensor there was no place to plug it in, and the tranny is a different year so the vss did not plug right in unless maybe I did something wrong other than that it is running good. anymore input

so you're coming along pretty well at least.

What I do for any sensors that have diff plugs, is I inspect it carefully, and you can usually pull the wires with the pins out of the plug, and insert them into the other plug. Or you can splice them..
