Default Swap Question

I want to swap in either a b16a or b18c1 jdm engine into my 2000 civic ex. The only thing is i don't have any garage room(in college) to do it, so i really can't do it myself. So i was wondering what a good price for everything would be at a shop engine, install, new mounts etc. thanks in advance.

most shops should do it for $600-800. anything higher, and they're either taking too long, or charging too much per hour.

b18c1 or b16B, ONLY. You won't be happy with anything else.

b16a is a torqueless wonder. b16b is basically a de-stroked b18c. its more of a jdm blingness engine more than anything else.

i hope you have about 4500 - 5500 thousand dollars laying around because thats what its probably going to cost you to get a jdm gsr and the mounts plus have the shop do it, also theyre probably going to try and find other things wrong.

It has a different crank and rods, so it displaces less then the B18C the block was designed for.

(In Verb case)

Stroke: to make the stroke longer to displace more, ie the piston travels farther up and down.
de-Stroke:to make the stroke shorter to displace less, ie the piston travels less up and down.
Bore: to make the cylinder diameter wider to displace more.

There is no opposite of Bore, you can't make the tube smaller (short of resleeving.)
