need help: B16A w/turbo vafc
i have a B16A with a greddy turbo kit and i just installed a vafc im trying to tune the damm thing but i have no clue where to start off on. and i got a set of injectors from a friend i have no clue what the hell they are but they are from RC engineering anyone know how i can tell what the flow rate are on them so i can tune the damm thing. btw im running about 6 psi on the kit.
thanks for your help!
thanks for your help!
I found this on HT it may help you.
I have all of my correction points 600 rpm apart starting at 1000. I start with -38% correction at 1000 and work up to -29% at about 3800 and keep it there the rest of the rpm band, this is for the narrow throttle. My wide throttle starts at -22% at 1000 and works up to -5% at about 3800 and stays the rest of the rpm band. My throttle postions are lo 10%, hi 65%. I'm running about 8.5-9 psi of boost and its running great. I will be wide band dynoing this set-up next month so I can fine tune it, but so far so good. Keep in mind that your setting will require less correction since you have smaller injectors, but this should give you an idea. You could probably get away without using the v-afc and just running lower fuel pressure and letting the ecu handle the rest. That was what I was going to do but I got a good deal on the 370s. Anyway, good luck.
dammm i forgot to say that im running a gsr obd1 computer since i couldnt get my hands on a b16 computer. so the car is running really rich at this point. and i still dont know what injectors i have all i know they are rc engineering injectors with who know what flow rate. anyone know how to tell what flow rate it is. i can get a pic of the motor tomorrow and the injectors as well. thanks for your help everyone!
