Default when i brake... the engine dies

damn... wtf! so every once and a while when i stop, my car dies, the rest of the times, when i stop the rpms dive to about 100-200 until i let off the brakes and it goes back up to right below 1k! what if it was something in the intake? maybe? brake booster? maybe?

Same thing if you are in neutral? Does the car creep forward if you don't have your foot on the brake and you're in gear with the clutch in?

Check the vacuum line going to your brake booster, and inspect it and the booster for cracks. You engine looses those rpm's at idle because you're creating negative vacuum... or that is to say... you're making the vacuum that the engine creates work harder, in order to actuate the brakes.

For a lot of fun, take that line off the booster and plug it. I hooked my intake manifold up wrong, and left that line off once. You have to almost stand on the brakes just to come to a semi controlled stop.

i figured it might be the negative vacuum... well two days of this then on the third day(even though i've only popped the hood to check oil) it's working fine. i'm still goin to look into it and i'll post what i find. thanx for the help guys.

Sounds like a possible weak ground to me. Have you noticed your lights being dimmer at all?

Uh... yeah, that would to it too... is your stereo turned up when this happens? Actually... even at low volume, is the stereo turned ON when this happens? With that much wattage on a stock alternator you should be running some serious capacitors if you're trying to avoid problems like this.
